So in my quest to eat a little healthier, I make smoothies from time to time. Above is the PB2 Special, what’s PB2? Powdered Peanut Butter, but in my case Chocolate PB2. I few months ago I found that I can longer use whey in my shakes, I developed an allergy to it. =( Anywhoooo!
1 Cup of Milk ( I used Lactaid 1%)
2 Tablespoons of Chocolate PB2
( The sub for this – Chocolate whey or 1 tablespoon of regular PB and Nutella)
1 Teaspoon of Lime or Lemon juice ( so the banana won’t brown if you’re not drinking it right away.)
( Update – If anyone is wondering Livestrong.com “My Plate” is saying 212.4 Calories for the shake above )
Moving on, I’ve also started to make more changes in my lunch. Chicken ranch salad wraps, wheat thins and string cheese, I threw some gummy bears just for fun. Lastly is the photo on the bottom right….. They finally opened a new Asian market near my house, took over where there was a Giant foods once. I went looking for my brown rice and ran into these in the fruit and veg area. We call them “Mamones”, some people may know them as Quenepa or Mamoncillos. It’s a wonderful fruit that I grew up with, once the outer husk is removed you find a seed with a sweet and sour flesh.
